Philip Totoreti, a partner of the firm, is a member of the Bars in New Jersey and the Virgin Islands, and of the Federal Bar of Puerto Rico. He has been practicing law for almost thirty years. He was the Managing Editor of the Rutgers-Camden Law Journal and previously worked at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, one of the largest law firms in New Jersey, at Asch, Suss & Tortoreti, at Garruto, Galex, and Cantor, and Galex, Tortoreti and Tomes. He concentrates his practice in the areas of consumer product class action, asbestos and toxic exposure litigation, medical malpractice and product liability cases; and he has traveled on behalf of clients to the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. Mr. Tortoreti has litigated as co-lead counsel consumer product class actions that have generated large settlements for consumers nationwide. In Extensis, Inc. v. Hewlett-Packard Company, Mr. Tortoreti was co-lead counsel in a consumer fraud class action that resulted in a settlement valued at over $140 million in rebate certificates and repair kits for purchasers of certain defective HP LaserJet printers. He is also co-lead counsel in numerous pending class actions.
