SONY BMGDeMarco v. Sony BMG Music was filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey by TTC and others. Since other similar cases were filed contemporously, all cases were consolidated in the Unites States District Court for the Southern District of New York under the title In Re Sony BMG Technologies Litigation. The allegations against Sony BMG were that Sony had encoded software in music CDs it sold that allowed Sony access to users' computers without the users permission or knowledge. The matter settled in 2006 and the settlement provided a remedy to all purchases of the CDs. TTC was among counsel involved in the prosecution and settlement of these claims. PEG PEREGO STROLLERSTTC was co-class counsel in a national class action settlement that provided remedies to owners of Peg Perego Strollers that had faulty folding mechanisms. The Peg Perego Stoller owners chose between repair, cash payment and rebate certificates usable for purchase from the entire Peg Perego product line. PLAYSTATION 2We were also co-counsel in a national class action settlement respecting defects in the Playstation 2 game system. The matter was litigated in San Matteo, California. Remedies to owners of defective units included cash payments, repair or replacement of game systems and video games. |
